Since 1924, St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church has been ministering to the people of Andrews, North Carolina. Located in the heart of downtown, we welcome visitors to our small parish whenever you're around our beautiful mountain community.
We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion each week, and all are welcome to the table.
On the first Sunday of the month, we host a breakfast before our 11am worship service. You are welcome to join us--and bring a friend!
On Wednesdays at 10am, we host a Bible story featuring the current readings from the lectionary.
Our church is proud to be a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and we celebrate Full Communion partnerships with the United Methodist Church, Episcopal Church (USA), the Reformed Church in America, the United Church of Christ, and the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA). Through this partnership, members and ministers may serve freely with any of these partner denominations.
Our pastor is the Reverend Horace D. Free. Ordained as a Priest in the Episcopal Church (USA), Father Free was called to be our pastor in 2022.
